Hymers Shortlisted for National Schools Award

We are delighted to announce that Hymers College has been shortlisted for Co-Educational School of the Year in the Independent Schools of the Year awards.

This is a great recognition of our staff’s hard work to ensure a fantastic experience for our students. From our excellent student support to outstanding teaching, amazing co-curricular activities to enriching trips and visits.

Founded in 1893 as a boys’ school, Hymers College will celebrate 35 years of co-education in September 2024. A thriving day school, we put kindness at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that every student understands that they are a valued member of the Hymers family.

For us, success comes from the happiness and all-round achievements of our pupils, not just from excellent exam results. Though we have those too. (86% of A Levels over the last three years have been grade A* - B.)

Our students are our driving force. We listen carefully to their needs to ensure they have a positive experience. This has led to a number of initiatives; including the introduction of inclusive bathrooms, a flexible uniform policy and reinvigorated sports programme.

Find out more about why we’ve made the shortlist at our upcoming Open Events in September and October. Book your tour.
